Elsewhere in Greater Manchester the seven day average of cases in Bury is 41 (down from 46), with a seven day rate per 100,000 population of 21.5 (down from 24.1); Bolton 288 (up from 256), with a rate of 100.2 (up from 89); Manchester 193 (up from 189), with a rate of 34.9 (up from 34.2), and Oldham 64 (down from 65), with a rate of 27 (down from 27.4).
Rochdale has a seven day average of cases of 85 (up from 77), with a seven day rate of 38.2 (up from 34.6); Stockport 82 (up from 65), with a rate of 27.9 (up from 22.2); Tameside 46 (up from 42), with a rate of 20.3 (up from 18.5); Trafford 100 (down from 103), with a rate of 42.1 (down from 43.4); and Wigan 79 (up from 76), with a rate of 24 (up from 23.1).
There have been no new virus-related deaths announced by Salford Royal Hospital.
Meanwhile, later today, Prime Minister Boris Johnson is set to lay out more easing of restrictions, including the re-opening of indoor venues such as pubs and cinemas, that two households or six people can meet indoors, and that up to thirty people can attend weddings and wakes, as well as funerals.
