Salford has 24 new coronavirus cases, down from the previous day's 25, bringing the cumulative total to 22,691. The seven day average of cases in Salford is now 289, down from 312, while the seven day rate per 100,000 population now stands at 111.7, down from 120.5.
Elsewhere in Greater Manchester, the seven day average of cases in Bury is 196 (up from 188), with a seven day rate per 100,000 population of 102.6 (up from 98.4); Bolton 308 (down from 311), with a rate of 107.1 (down from 108.2); Manchester 483 (down from 493), with a rate of 87.4 (down from 89.2); and Oldham 245 (up from 242), with a rate of 103.3 (up from 102.1).
Rochdale has a seven day average of cases of 227 (down from 228), with a seven day rate of 102.1 (down from 102.5); Stockport 227 (down from 241), with a rate of 77.4 (down from 82.1); Tameside 268 (same), with a rate of 118.3 (same); Trafford 92 (down from 102), with a rate of 38.8 (down from 43); and Wigan 328 (down from 331), with a rate of 99.8 (down from 100.7).
There have been no new virus-related deaths announced by Salford Royal Hospital.
Meanwhile, the COVID Memorial Campaign, which is looking to make 23rd March an annual anniversary, is also seeking to create a COVID Memorial Monument and is asking people to submit designs.
