Her predecessor, Miranda Carruthers Watt stepped down last May, after four years in the job, and Roxborough had only been in post for less than a year. Last night, she wrote to councillors...

Salford Council is currently embroiled in a potential high court case with Stama Developments over issues surrounding the refusal of planning permission for the old Police HQ on the Crescent, while the Salford Labour and Conservative parties have been bickering over what was or was not omitted from the draft of the Local Plan.
Meanwhile, favoured Councillor, Mike McCusker, has still not been before the Council's Standards Committee, despite having a formal complaint about his behaviour submitted almost a year ago (see here and see here). The machinations are endless.
Sian Roxborough joins Chief Executive Jim Taylor, who has taken early retirement and top planning officer, Chris Findley, who also bailed recently. It is becoming a bit of a trend at the Civic Centre...
