Salford has 51 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, bringing the cumulative total to 2,614, up from the previous day's 2,563.
Elsewhere in Greater Manchester, cases in Manchester rose to 5,990 (up from 5,844), followed by Bolton 4,070 (up from 3,982), Oldham with 3,737 (up from 3,694), Wigan 2,954 (up from 2,901), Rochdale 2,920 (up from 2,884), Tameside 2,647 (up from 2,607), Stockport 2,418 (up from 2,392), Trafford 2,041 (up from 2,019) and Bury 2,225 (up from 2,170).
There have been no new virus-related deaths announced by Salford Royal Hospital.
Meanwhile, , the rate of positive tests for the virus in Salford has increased by over one third in less than a week, with the latest data showing a rate of 131.2 per 100,000 population, compared with 100.9 per 100,000 population on 19th September.
