Salford has 32 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, bringing the cumulative total to 2,142, up from the previous day's 2,110. Salford has now had 218 confirmed new cases of the virus in the last week.
Elsewhere in Greater Manchester, cases in Manchester rose to 4,906 (up from 4,852), followed by Oldham with 3,226 (up from 3,199), Bolton 3,143 (up from 3,047), Rochdale 2,509 (up from 2,492), Wigan 2,511 (up from 2,488), Tameside 2,234 (up from 2,208), Stockport 2,139 (up from 2,114), Trafford 1,835 (up from 1,823) and Bury 1,799 (up from 1,779).
There has been one new virus-related death at Salford Royal Hospital, making five sad deaths in the last week, after virtually none in the previous month.
