BEZ SLAMS BBC UKIP PROPAGANDA FOR ENGINEERING SALFORD ELECTION MINDSET

Star date: 6th May 2015

RADIO 1, BBC AND MEDIA LOVE-IN WITH UKIP SLATED BY BEZ

"I don't blame the people of Salford because it's being engineered upon them; that's what they're told every day..." Bez

`Blame the bankers, not immigrants' was the message from Bez as the Reality Party battle bus toured Salford this evening on the night before the election. Bez slammed media and BBC propaganda which has `engineered' a UKIP mindset on the election, rather than focussing in on the real culprits in the banking industry.

The Reality Party Salford and Eccles MP candidate also had a message for Christopher Eccleston's mum, Elsie, who the Salford actor said Bez had to politically convince...

Tonight, as Salford and Eccles MP candidate Bez, and Worsley and Eccles South candidate, Mags McNally, toured the city in the Reality Party battle bus, the media stood accused of engineering a UKIP mindset on voters in Salford and beyond.

"I've been campaigning on the streets of Salford and the worrying thing is that a lot of people are saying they'll be voting for UKIP, which is really concerning" Bez explained "BBC propaganda is really affecting the people and there's a real anti-immigration type scenario going on. But everyone forgets it's not immigrants that caused the problem, it's the bankers who own the banking system of every country and, if they wanted, they could fix the problem overnight.

"The time they're giving UKIP on Radio 1 in the last few weeks, I just don't understand" he added "So it's really hard to get the message across because everyone's in this mindset because of the tv. I don't blame the people of Salford because it's being engineered upon them; that's what they're told every day."

On board the battle bus was fellow candidate Nigel Askew who is standing for the We Are The Reality Party against Nigel Farage in Thanet South. He had with him a huge cardboard letter to the UKIP leader stating `World War 2 was all about defeating a country whose people had been told they were being thwarted by outsiders'...

Meanwhile Bez also had a message for Christopher Eccleston's mum, Elsie. In an interview with the Salford Star today, the Little Hulton actor said Bez would have to convince his 83 year old mum of Reality Party politics (see here)...

"She'll remember people who lived through the First World War, and she'll definitely remember people who lived through the Second World War, and all those social things that were being built, everything she knew as a young girl, has systematically been destroyed" Bez explained "There's nothing left of what she once knew, and if you want to see the end of that you need to start looking elsewhere... because if you carry on voting for the two main parties, these people have destroyed everything that England used to be about. You have to look at alternative parties, like the Reality Party, who are standing up for the people, for a social system that we once had."

As the We Are The Reality Party battle bus departed up Chapel Street, towards Salford Precinct and beyond to drum up late support, Bez wasn't guessing his percentage of votes in tomorrow's election...

"I really don't know how it's going to go" he said "The Labour diehards are saying they're going to vote to keep the Conservatives out. The great thing is that people are becoming politicised and talking about politics which they weren't before."

SALFORD STAR – 15 YEARS OF ATTITUDE AND LOVE XXX

The Salford Star closes tonight after 15 years of giving the community a voice, holding power to account and bigging up all the great things that have happened in the city.

Thousands of people in Salford have been involved in one way or another with the Star and we'd like to thank them all. Salford is a very special city and, hopefully, we've given it a very special community publication.

THREATS, LIES, FEAR AND LOATHING IN SALFORD...

Today, the Salford Star shuts down but we write this article as a warning to others who may follow on the pitfalls of founding a genuine publication that aims to give the community a voice and hold public bodies up to account.

We are almost at the final closure of the Salford Star but we write this article as a warning to others who may follow on the pitfalls of founding a genuine publication that aims to give the community a voice and hold public bodies up to account.

SALFORD STAR CLOSURE – GUY GRIFFITHS ON THE HUMAN COST OF PATHFINDER DEMOLITIONS

Star date: 16th May 2021

THE HUMAN COST OF REGENERATION

The Griffiths brothers of Higher Broughton are kind of infamous as the only people to be forcefully evicted from their house as part of the Pathfinder 'housing market renewal' project during the first decade of the 21st Century.

Here, Guy Griffiths, now living in 'sunny' north Wales and one of the main inspirations for the Salford Star's creation, writes the second part his own personal view of the Government project that devastated communities throughout Central Salford.
