The Story So Far…
Rollercoaster season doesn’t come into it…three new managers…virtually three new teams…Then still stranded 15 points adrift at the bottom of the League after a horrid run that saw City pitted against the League’s top teams, losing only by the odd nasty goal…Then suddenly on the 7th March Salford beat Lancaster City 5-3 away from home and hope sprang eternal…
...Unfortunately three days later they got stuffed 8-1 by Wakefield and then, unluckily, 2-1 by Durham…but bounced back to win two games on the trot against Rossendale (5-4) and Harrogate Railway (3-1) to go only ten points adrift with a few games in hand. And then on Monday, City lost 2-1 to Curzon Ashton meaning this Saturday’s game against Bamber Bridge is crucial to keep the dream alive…
There’s only eight games left of the season, with half of them at home…but 24 points at stake…
Can Salford City do it? Can they avoid the drop? If Salford’s going to do it your support is vital…Be there…Moor Lane, Salford 7 this Saturday 3pm
