Lawrence Cassidy is fast becoming Mr Salford as his interactive exhibitions continue to tour the city, this latest landing at a new gallery he has created at the United Reform Church on Chapel Street, in collaboration with LIDS.
On show is a collection of family photo albums, old maps of the area, movies and interviews with people who used to live in the M3 area before all was demolished.
On the days when the exhibition is open anyone can bring in old photos, or films, and find the street where old mates or family lived on one of his huge retro maps.
The Chapel Street Gallery is in the front entrance of the Chapel St and Hope United Reform Church which is near the Salford arms and opp Salford Central Station.
Sense of Belonging is open 2-4pm 28th March and then…
4th April – Family Photo Albums
2nd May – Mapping the Streets
6th June – Family Histories
