The staff and students of Salford University have set up a support group in opposition to the cuts at the university – contact us at SU-defend-education@yahoogroups.com The staff & students are fighting to save both Jobs & Courses and to get the management at Salford to work with both the staff & students in improving both jobs & courses and spending much needed money on the buildings and courses at Salford. The Vice Chancellor has been spending a lot of public money on both his and the registrar's office and not on student education. One of the main issues to which we are fighting is the decision to close a very good course, the Chinese Medicine Bsc Degree course which is very well used by both the public and staff & students in and around Greater Manchester. Anyone wishing to join our support group can contact us on the above e-mail address. Gary Leese. Tel:07949258417 Secretary - Press Officer, Salford University Defend Education (S.U.D.E.)
