The community is currently crying out for legal advice relating to housing, and now the Greater Manchester Law Centre has introduced free clinics on the second Friday of each month between 1:30pm and 4pm, although an appointment is necessary*.
The clinics, provided by Platt Halpern Solicitors, will be offering advice to Greater Manchester tenants and people in housing need in all areas of housing law and will deal with Possession Claims, Anti-Social Behaviour, Disrepair, Unlawful Eviction and Harassment, Homelessness, Re-housing options, Owner Occupiers and Housing for People from Abroad...
"Our research and experience have shown us that there is an overwhelming demand for housing advice in Greater Manchester, and we are grateful for all supporters and partners who help us to respond to this need" states the Centre.
Meanwhile, on Thursday 7th December, at TROF in Manchester's Northern Quarter**, the GM Law Centre will be holding a Christmas Quiz centred on Law and Disorder, with questions like When is International Human Rights Day? and What song resulted in a legal dispute between The Who and Shel Talmy?
