CORONATION STREET GORE FEST SLATED IN NEW POEM

Star date: 18th November 2017

HORRORNATION STREET CALLS ENA SHARPLES TO THE RESCUE

What would Tony Warren think of Coronation Street, 2017 style? Dave Bishop, who actually stood in a by-election on a manifesto of scrapping the Street and its depressing storylines, has written a short poem...

Fifty seconds is all it takes for Dave Bishop to trash the current crop of Coronation Street plots which have been slated by the media and old style viewers, as comedic conversations and comfy snugs have given way to, what some people believe, are sensational and depressing storylines.

Reflecting real life? Not in Dave Bishop's books. He's written a short funny poem imploring Ena Sharples to come down from heaven and finish off the Salford soap...

'I remember Corrie long ago/It gave off such a cosy glow...'

"I campaigned for the Bus-Pass Elvis Party in the Oldham East by-election of 2011* to scrap Coronation Street because of its gloomy plots" he says "It's even worse now. So I've written this poem..."

Horrornation Street can be viewed on YouTube click here

* He beat the LibDems!

Dave's other YouTube offerings include a Jeremy Corbyn art show

HUMILIATING CLIMBDOWN FOR SALFORD CITY MAYOR

Just two days after announcing that a consultation would begin on 26th February for closing Salford's five nurseries, this afternoon Salford Council announced that it is to be paused for a month.

In the face of growing anger from the community the Council has been forced into a humiliating climb down.
