Following its Lightwaves festival last December (see here), Quays Culture is staging a summer showcase of spectacular sculptures at the MediaCityUK piazza, from Saturday 20th until Monday 29th May.
The theme of the Unnatural Borders exhibition is endangered species, and there will be a Polar Bear, Whale, Red Squirrel and a Bee, which, between 9pm and 11pm,will be illuminated, states Quays Culture 'with stunning visual projections, bringing a magical show of light and illusion to these 3D animals and their location'...
"Unnatural Borders is an exhibition of large-scale, illuminated endangered species sculptures, commissioned by the extremely talented Sober Industries" says Lucy Dusgate, Creative Producer at Quays Culture "Unnatural Borders questions our responsibility to these beautiful creatures, and our own mis/understanding of natural and man-made borders and boundaries in these changing times.
