MadLab, which has run many digital workshops for Salford's community, is back for its summer term during May and June, with five courses for anyone who lives in the city and is over age 19.

Setting Up Your First WordPress Website
10th May 10am–3:30pm or 13th May 10am-3:30pm
Create a simple website using WordPress, learn the differences between a page and
a post, create menus and add first content.
Blogging 101
10th May 10am–3:30pm
Put a WordPress website to good use and start blogging. Learn how to create engaging content for readers.
Making the Most of WordPress
17th May 10am–3:30pm or 20th May 10am-3:30pm
Handy tips on how to make the most of a first website, including using widgets,
plugins, and playing with themes.
Programming 101
14th June 10am–3:30pm or 17th June 10am–3:30pm
A practical session using Python, covering data types, inputs and outputs, data structures and loops.
Intro to Web Development
21st June 10am–3:30pm or 24th June 10am–3:30pm
Learn how to make a simple two-page website using HTML and CSS, the building blocks of the web.
