Following demonstrations outside the Agecroft Road Salford Dogs4Us store in September and October, there's to be another protest next Sunday, 18th December, to draw attention to festive puppy purchasing, which the Boycott Dogs4Us campaign argues is fuelling the puppy farm trade.
"With Christmas looming up the Boycott Dogs4Us team are deeply concerned about the inevitable impulse buys of puppies that will take place, especially that last week before Christmas Day" it states "People will make a snap decision to buy without considering the consequences. We will be outside educating the public and trying to persuade them to do the right thing.
"Profit driven puppy farms are churning out thousands of puppies to meet the Christmas demand, keeping the dogs in cramped, inhumane conditions" it adds "Dogs4Us has been exposed on national TV for its involvement in the cruel puppy farm trade."
Previous protests have been backed by Salford and Eccles MP Rebecca Long-Bailey, while local councillors have also joined the demonstrations. Salford City Council has been consulting on a clampdown on pet shops but any changes in policies have still not been confirmed.
Meanwhile, Dogs4Us continues to be targeted...
