Funerals and death might not be everyone's cup of tea but Bleeding With Mother promises, in the words of Pete Gibson, co-founder of M62 Productions "a rattling good old school show with a proper plot, belting one-liners and the kinds of characters we grew up with."
The play, written by Salford University worker, Sarah Cassidy, is a comedy about a family mourning their mum whilst at the same time trying to get their hands on her inheritance stashed directly under the floorboards where her coffin is lying in state.
With roots in the Greater Manchester Fringe, M62 Productions do `working class theatre'...
"Bleeding with Mother is typical of the type of drama we want to produce going forwards" Pete explains "It is a relevant comedy about real people facing real life situations with easily recognisable characters, including nosey neighbours.
"M62's ambition is to entertain and inform but also to connect with people who don't usually go to the theatre" he adds "Too many visiting productions to Manchester are over lavish and over-priced and that means they exclude people.
