It has taken just ten days for the Salford Star army of helpers to distribute almost the whole print run of 20,000 copies all over the city. Handed out on precincts...left in shops, cafes, pubs, bookies and chippies...and delivered door-to-door to around 10,000 homes, the community centred magazine has certainly made an impact.
The response via emails, text and social media has been phenomenal and incredibly positive. We've had donations. We've had people wanting to write, do graphics and take photos for the mag. And to kick it all off we've had an army of helpers who have delivered the magazine to their community. We'd like to thank each and every person who has volunteered their time to spread the Salford Star around the city.
Out of the 20,000 copies of the mag we printed, we have just 1,000 left. Anyone wanting to deliver to their street just get in touch and we will drop off a few bundles - info@salfordstar.com 07957 982960.
In the meantime we now have an electronic copy of the magazine up on our publications channel – click here.
The next issue of the Salford Star will be out in September. Anyone who has a topic that we should be covering, a community project that should be getting exposure or a talent that the city needs to know about just get in touch. And anyone who wishes to advertise please get in touch for our incredibly affordable rates. The survival of the Salford Star in print ultimately depends upon the amount of advertising we receive.
Meanwhile, the Salford Star website will continue to be updated daily.
To everyone who advertised in this issue, took copies to deliver to the community, helped with articles or donated over the years to see the mag back in print...we thank you...
With attitude and love xxx
