SALFORD'S CHILDREN'S SERVICES CRITICISED YET AGAIN
OFSTED has slated Salford Council yet again, after an unannounced inspection last August sampled the "impact on minimising the incidence of child abuse and neglect".
Amongst other `areas for priority action', OFSTED found five cases of children "where assessments undertaken were of poor quality and did not sufficiently consider risk". And this in the wake of a damning report into the tragic death of Demi Leigh earlier this year.
We asked Salford City Council whether Jill Baker, Director of Children's Services, and the elected Lead Member for Children's Services are going to resign. We await a response….
