The three minute video called Take Note, mixes architectural visions with hot air balloons, bubble machines, dancing cameras and a soothing soundtrack. It’s also got lots of multi-coloured ghostly creatures, aliens and monsters populating the place...Make of that what you will, although it does scream on the MediaCityUK website *… “We’re Creating A City…welcome to our world”. Hmmm…
Meanwhile, the video itself is great. As its artist, Andrew Li, says “I had a strong idea of what I wanted to do, something different, something cool and memorable. I wanted to create a vibe.”
And that, the Birmingham based artist (yep no-one in Salford is capable, it appears, of doing anything for Media City) is certainly doing. So much so, he’d even consider setting up there… "It will be a good place to be” he says “when it’s full to capacity…”
Hmmm again. With still only the BBC and the University and a supermarket signed up to Media City, Andrew’s multi-coloured ghouls and ghosts might be the only ones there to keep him company…
