Pantomime season is here and it can only mean one thing, Salford Arts Theatre is putting together yet another spectacular show for the whole family to enjoy. A story of a boy called Jack, some magic beans and a giant. Yes, it's none other than the traditional fairy tale of Jack and the Beanstalk.
"We try to keep to traditional pantomime each year, so last year we did Cinderella and this year we are doing Jack and the Beanstalk" explains Salford Arts Theatre's Roni Ellis "It's not just for kids, it's for adults as well, there are characters for everybody to enjoy."
"It's what people want to see at Christmas and because we can produce it at such an accessible price, everybody can enjoy the theatre" she adds "The story will pretty much be the same as children already know, but as always we will make sure we have lots of interaction with the audience. It's the usual 'He's behind you!' and a lot of what we like to call panto business. We will also have a sing-a-long at very end for the audience and we will be able to get children and adults up on stage as well, just opportunities for the audience to fully engage - a fun-filled extravaganza."
