It's an incredible sight – hundreds and hundreds of Santas riding scooters, bikes and trikes, heading along Salford roads towards The Christie with bags full of presents for poorly children.
Next Sunday sees the annual Vesperados scooter club run to The Christie starting at the Henry Boddington pub on Bolton Road and heading, via Langworthy and Ordsall, to the South Manchester hospital.
"We want the streets lined with children and families cheering us along the way" says Beaver from the Vesperados scooter club "Last year we had over five hundred Santas riding two wheels."
In the morning, from 9:30am, people can drop off selection boxes and toys at the pub before the convoy sets off at noon. The Vesperados, however, are still looking for a celebrity to help hand over the toys – any offers please get in touch with them via m0sgb@yahoo.co.uk or info@salfordstar.com or direct through the Vesperados Christie's Santa-Run 2014 facebook site where there are also more details of the run.
The Santa Run route: From the Henry Bod pub to the East Lancs Road, to Langworthy Road, Trafford Road via Salford Quays, then Seymour Grove and Barlow Moor Road to The Christie.
