MARY BURNS - HAZEL BLEARS GETS ON HER BIKE

ON YOUR BIKE HAZEL

While everyone in Salford struggles with bills and jobs and debts and stuff, we reveal how Hazel is about to take delivery of a custom made motorbike so she can take off this summer on a lovely biking holiday in Europe…but who's paying for it?

Hazel Blears appears to be desperately trying to become a constituency MP again, after years of ignoring everyone’s requests for meetings and things. It even seems that she’s going through the local Advertiser contacting everyone who’s got a campaign going. That’s all really touching (hey maybe she’ll even reply to Salford Star’s letter from six months ago…come on Hazel, you can do it!).

This sweet charm offensive is basically aimed at saving her career. But don’t worry, once it’s worked and Hazel’s been re-selected as the Labour candidate at the next election, she’s off with her hubby for a tour of Europe on a new custom built, made to measure motorbike, costing who-knows-how-much…

Back in March, before all the expenses scandal broke, Hazel boasted to The Independent newspaper how she was having a new hog specially built to suit her height…

“I’m only four foot eleven – so it’ll be kind of bespoke” she gushed “It’s also a very exciting engineering development for British manufacturing, but it’s a bit of a secret, so I can’t divulge any more…”

Oh do tell me Hazel – is it on expenses? Is it a freebie from the bike builders? Or are you paying for it from your large Parliamentary salary that you’ve saved up from having all that food, mortgage payments and furniture paid for by the public purse?
