HAZEL BLEARS VOTED MOST SHAMELESS MP

SHAME FOR HAZEL

Star Date: 10th June 2009

Hazel Blears has just been voted the country’s Most Shameless MP in a nationwide poll…

It was a hard fought battle but Hazel Blears has topped the voting to become Britain’s Most Shameless MP amidst bucket loads of nominations and votes.  She beat Livingston MP Jim Devine, and his alleged £4500 worth of joinery and electrical work claimed for on expenses, Barbara Follet and her private security patrols, and Jacqui Smith and her sister’s second bedroom claims.

The `honour’ has been bestowed on Hazel by the website www.dishonourable.org.uk which ran the poll, and it is now calling for candidates to stand against her in Salford at the next election.

“There are many legitimate concerns for voters and tax payers in Salford concerning this MP's abuses of the MPs' expenses system and her tax affairs” says dishonourable’s Ian Fairbairn “The next step is for natural Labour supporters to put themselves forward for an American-style primary election (online) to mandate an alternative candidate to stand at the next election. This would offer Labour's natural supporters an independent MP who would be sympathetic to their political views and avoid the dilemma of Labour voters in Salford having to either defect to another party or abstain.”

Hazel Blears is the most despicable, self serving, self obsessed, charlatan to stand in public office. It is a travesty that this 'oink' of a women has had her snout in the trough, whilst good honest hard working salfordians have been struggling along with dignity and principles. Now is the time for the people to make themselves heard and send this harlot back under the rock crawled out from. She has always abandoned local issues, in order to further her political career and now that she is fighting for it, has declared she is going back to grass roots. Well we aint that 'green'...so 'on yer bike Blears'!

SALFORD STAR – 15 YEARS OF ATTITUDE AND LOVE XXX

The Salford Star closes tonight after 15 years of giving the community a voice, holding power to account and bigging up all the great things that have happened in the city.

Thousands of people in Salford have been involved in one way or another with the Star and we'd like to thank them all. Salford is a very special city and, hopefully, we've given it a very special community publication.

THREATS, LIES, FEAR AND LOATHING IN SALFORD...

Today, the Salford Star shuts down but we write this article as a warning to others who may follow on the pitfalls of founding a genuine publication that aims to give the community a voice and hold public bodies up to account.

They will try to discredit you, block information and shut you down. Here the Salford Star editor, Stephen Kingston, looks at how democracy perished badly under the Salford mayoral system.

THEY WILL TRY TO DISCREDIT YOU...TO BLOCK YOU, TO SHUT YOU DOWN

We are almost at the final closure of the Salford Star but we write this article as a warning to others who may follow on the pitfalls of founding a genuine publication that aims to give the community a voice and hold public bodies up to account.

They will try to discredit you, block information and shut you down. In South America they just blow up the offices of journalists that don't play the game. Here they just financially assassinate you...

SALFORD STAR CLOSURE – GUY GRIFFITHS ON THE HUMAN COST OF PATHFINDER DEMOLITIONS

Star date: 16th May 2021

THE HUMAN COST OF REGENERATION

The Griffiths brothers of Higher Broughton are kind of infamous as the only people to be forcefully evicted from their house as part of the Pathfinder 'housing market renewal' project during the first decade of the 21st Century.

Here, Guy Griffiths, now living in 'sunny' north Wales and one of the main inspirations for the Salford Star's creation, writes the second part his own personal view of the Government project that devastated communities throughout Central Salford.
