HAZEL BLEARS EXPENSES SCANDAL

WORDS THAT COME BACK TO HAUNT YOU

Oh dear! People have been dragging up Hazel's past and kind of chucking it in her face. So here's some more, courtesy of Mary Burns...

Number 1...

"The qualities of Salford men and women shine through the adversity of their everyday lives. They were, and still are, people with courage, determination, wit and compassion, and they have an unrivalled ability to see through falseness and to expose insincerity." Hazel's maiden speech in the House of Commons on becoming an MP.

Number 2

"Our parents' generation saw political activity as something to benefit the community. Today, people see politics as something to benefit politicians. This is a travesty." Hazel speaking two years ago

Number 3

"I have always said that politics was in danger of looking like a way for people to benefit themselves, rather than serve the public. This is ... very unfair to all those elected representatives who champion their communities, work hard, make personal sacrifices, and don't expect much reward or thanks." Hazel answering questions in today's Guardian

Answers to Hazel on a postcard c/o  the House of Commons or her office on the Crescent...

I HAVE NEVER UNDERSTOOD WHY THE PEOPLE WHO SPEND THEIR LIVES IN THE PERVERBIAL DOO-DOO, ALWAY VOTE LABOUR - SINC COUNCIL ESTATES ETC. - ALWAYS THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOTHING, GET NOTHING UNDER LABOUR - EVEN THE BENEFIT BRIGADE HAVE TROUBLE FILLING IN THE FORMS LABOUR DEVISE TO STEALTHILY STRANGLE THE ATTEMPTS OF THE ARMY OF LOYAL LABOUR BENEFIT SCROUNGERS WHO VOTED THEM IN, THEIR HOPE BEING THEY WOULD BE GETTING HAND-OUTS IN EXCHANGE FOR THEIR VOTES - THEY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT IT TAKES ONE TO FIND ONE! AND THEY FOUND ONE ALRIGHT WITH HAZEL BLEARS - THIS MODERN TWO FACED TOKYO ROSE SHOULD BE TRIED FOR INLAND REVENUE FRAUD, DUPLICITY AND A TRAITOR TO THE ENGLISH SENSE OF FAIR PLAY AND DECENCY, AT LEAST AS IT USED TO BE.

Hazel Blears should be brought to justice before the courts like any other person would be and made to pay back everything she has claimed which were not required to do her job, and then she should be sentenced, like everyone else would be. At the end of the day Hazel Blears, like everyone else at the top of the Labour party is a Fabian Socialist whose logo is a wolf in sheep's clothing. You get what you vote for and if you don't know what you're voting for you get Hazel Blears and her ilk.

If the people of Salford keep this piggy Durecell Money Bunny as their MP. Then they deserve everything they get. Which has not been much in the past. And will be a lot less in the future. She certainly made personal sacrifices, she struggled hard to keep her hands in the Tax payers piggy bank. It nust ahve really hurt her banking the money. Does any think she would have paid the money back if the Daily Telegraph had not outed them all. Dont think so.

SALFORD STAR – 15 YEARS OF ATTITUDE AND LOVE XXX

The Salford Star closes tonight after 15 years of giving the community a voice, holding power to account and bigging up all the great things that have happened in the city.

Thousands of people in Salford have been involved in one way or another with the Star and we'd like to thank them all. Salford is a very special city and, hopefully, we've given it a very special community publication.

SALFORD STAR CLOSURE: HOW SALFORD COUNCIL TRIED TO BLOCK AND DISCREDIT THE STAR

Star date: 17th May 2021

THREATS, LIES, FEAR AND LOATHING IN SALFORD...

Today, the Salford Star shuts down but we write this article as a warning to others who may follow on the pitfalls of founding a genuine publication that aims to give the community a voice and hold public bodies up to account.

They will try to discredit you, block information and shut you down. Here the Salford Star editor, Stephen Kingston, looks at how democracy perished badly under the Salford mayoral system.

A WHIFF OF FREEDOM AS RESTRICTIONS ARE EASED

Salford has 7 new coronavirus cases, down from the previous day's 14, while the seven day rate per 100,000 population now stands at 30.1, down from 30.9. There have been no new virus-related deaths announced by Salford Royal Hospital.

Today sees restrictions eased and the first whiff of freedom in over a year. It's also the final coronavirus bulletin from the Salford Star which is closing. Here we look back over 14 months of the pandemic and the absolute communication failings of Salford City Council and its City Mayor.

SALFORD STAR CLOSURE: HOW SALFORD COUNCIL TRIED TO STOP THE STAR

Star date: 16th May 2021

THEY WILL TRY TO DISCREDIT YOU...TO BLOCK YOU, TO SHUT YOU DOWN

We are almost at the final closure of the Salford Star but we write this article as a warning to others who may follow on the pitfalls of founding a genuine publication that aims to give the community a voice and hold public bodies up to account.

They will try to discredit you, block information and shut you down. In South America they just blow up the offices of journalists that don't play the game. Here they just financially assassinate you...

SALFORD STAR CLOSURE – GUY GRIFFITHS ON THE HUMAN COST OF PATHFINDER DEMOLITIONS

Star date: 16th May 2021

THE HUMAN COST OF REGENERATION

The Griffiths brothers of Higher Broughton are kind of infamous as the only people to be forcefully evicted from their house as part of the Pathfinder 'housing market renewal' project during the first decade of the 21st Century.

Here, Guy Griffiths, now living in 'sunny' north Wales and one of the main inspirations for the Salford Star's creation, writes the second part his own personal view of the Government project that devastated communities throughout Central Salford.
