Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Services is looking for Salford artists to showcase their artwork in its Centre and in the treatment rooms at The Christie, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust on Stott Lane.
The charity is asking artists to either donate work or to sell at a reduced cost, and, Donna Gee, a volunteer at the Centre, says that it would make a huge difference to patients who "would be able to look at something they recognise such as the local area and surroundings...We want to make a difference to the environment for patients and relatives who may be distressed".
