Today marks three years since Alan Henning was murdered delivering aid to refugees in Syria but he is still remembered in Eccles and Salford. This morning, local councillors placed a wreath at the Eccles Cross to commemorate Alan in his home town.

"We want to ensure that people remember Alan and the work he did to help people suffering through no fault of their own" said Councillor Peter Wheeler "People in Eccles still miss him and remember him fondly. Our thoughts are with Alan's family..."
