While 200 bands and singers blast away the pubs and clubs of Salford (see here for full Festival preview), the organisers of this year's Salford Music Festival are putting on a special late afternoon/early evening event for younger people, between 5 and 7pm at The Lowry.
The two hour show sees a fantastic array of up and coming pop stars, all of who are on the verge of breaking through to the truly big time. Here's the line up…
HATTY KEANE – on stage at 6:40pm, 17 year old Hatty has already toured the country, supporting the likes of Pixie Lott, Angel, Chipmunk, Ed Sheeran, Pitbull, Wretch 32, Lemar, Tinchy Stryder and Katie B. She's got her own single about to be released called No One Loves You which is tipped for greatness. Find out more at www.hattykeane.com/
HEIDI ANNE – on stage at 6:20pm, Heidi has already clocked over one million YouTube views for her videos, the latest for her new single When The Sun Comes Up, featuring T-Pain, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and Glasses Malone. See more at www.heidianneofficial.com For anyone who's not a kid, Heidi Anne is also playing Lime Bar, Salford Quays at 9:50pm on the same night.
GIRL PECULIAR – on stage 6pm, Salford based Girl Peculiar has built up a big name over the last few years with her catchy folky poppy magnificence. Did Salford's England World Cup anthem with Mark E Smith a few years ago and has gone on from there to tour nationally. Hear the tunes via Facebook – Girl Peculiar. For anyone who's not a kid, Girl Peculiar is also playing Lime Bar on Salford Quays at 8:40pm same night, and is also playing The Lowry all dayer on 22nd at 9:45pm
FTW – on stage at 5:40pm, these are tipped to be Britain's big new boy band, and have been appearing alongside McFly, Alexandra Burke and The Saturdays. Check them out on Facebook – FTWonline
HE MET HER – on stage at 5:20pm, Rocky Chance and Mowgli Moon (obviously real names) are an electro pop duo making a bit of a stir in the photo world as well as the music biz.
