SALFORD AMBULANCE STAFF PLAY CELEBS AT THE WILLOWS THIS SUNDAY

Celebrity Football Match and Family Fun Day
Sunday 9th October 12pm/kick off 3pm
The Willows, Weaste Road M5 5FQ
£5 adults £2 children £12 family

This Sunday at The Willows there's a massive family fun day followed by a footy match with Ambulance Staff taking on a pack of celebrities, including football legends and stars from soaps, sports and tv.

The match is to raise money for four year old Lleyton Coombes who has a rare terminal illness and needs to get to the States for treatment.

"Hello – my name is Lleyton Coombes and I am four years old. I was born with Niemann Pick type C, which is a very rare terminal illness…

"My mummy and daddy are raising funds to take me to America for treatment and also for the Niemann Pick Disease Group who are trying to find a cure.

"I hope you can come down and see some of the stars from soaps, sports and tv play against the ambulance staff. See you there – Lleyton xxx"

This Sunday, The Willows plays host to a huge fun day and football match to raise funds to take four year old Lleyton Coombes to the States to get treatment for his rare terminal condition.

First off is a Fun Day at 12pm with a lucky dip, bouncy castle, face painting, Morris Dancers and DJ, plus loads of stalls and entertainment. It's followed at 3pm by the football match that sees Ambulance Staff taking on a Celebrity team containing footy legends and stars from Coronation Street, Hollyoaks, Emmerdale, Shameless and more…

WHEN IS THIS SALFORD COUNCIL PLANNING SCANDAL GOING TO END?

The planning panel of councillors for Salford City Council will be probably rubber stamping yet another huge development in Ordsall this week – two blocks of 'luxury' apartments, up to nine storeys high, off Ordsall Lane and Dyer Street.

From 196 properties being proposed by Selectric Investments Ltd, just one will be affordable, thanks to official Salford Council policy.
